View dashboard view for all storage systems
The home dashboard view for all storage systems provides an overall view of the status of all storage systems that Unisphere manages in terms of compliance, capacity, health score, throughput, IOPS, efficiency, and CloudIQ connectivity.
About this task
The home dashboard view provides an overall view of the status of all storage systems.
For an overview of Unisphere functionality, see Overview of Unisphere for PowerMax.
You can sort the view by the following:
- COMPLIANCE
- CAPACITY
- HEALTH SCORE
- THROUGHPUT
- IOPS
- DATA REDUCTION
- CLOUDIQ
To view the home dashboard view:
Steps
- From the menu on the left panel, click Systems.
- To provision a storage system, click PROVISION (see The Provision Storage wizard).
-
Sort the view by selecting one of the following:
- COMPLIANCE - The following parameters are displayed in each storage system panel:
- Storage system ID—The serial number of the storage system
- Storage system model—The model number of the storage system
- The version of microcode on the storage system—an amber triangle is displayed when the current version is below the target version. You are advised to contact your service provider to schedule an operating system upgrade.
- Data chart—Service level compliance data is displayed in this chart in the form of storage group counts for each compliance state (Critical, Marginal, Stable), total storage group count, and number of storage groups with no service level assigned.

Unisphere release enables you to tag storage systems and storage groups for PowerMaxOS 5978 storage systems running release 9.1 or later. You can add a tag to an object for identification or to give other information. An association between objects can be inferred by adding the same tag to each object. You can search by tag to retrieve related objects. Tags can be added to and removed from objects. When a tag is no longer associated with an object, it no longer exists.
The following tagging rules apply:
- The tag has a 64 Character limit of letters, numbers, - and _.
- There are a maximum of 500 unique tag names per storage system.
- There are a maximum of eight tags per object.
- Tags can be mixed case and are case-sensitive.
Click
to view the list of tags. You can also add one or more new tags.
- From a panel view or list view, click the storage system identity of the system you want to view in more detail (see View home dashboard view for a specific storage system).
-
To go to other areas, click any of the following menu items in the left panel:
- Overview
- Performance
- Configuration
- VMware
- Events
- Support
To contract or expand the menu in the left panel, click the arrows icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
- To go back to the systems view, click Systems in the left panel.
